How it is calculated

The built-up area is the house with its garage and the roofed areas. Paving is the drive, the paths and the open-air areas, water is the pool surface, and the rest of the plot is garden. The four add up to the plot area.

The ground is a gently sloping plane. The house stands on a levelled platform, and the drive and the path fall towards their gates so that water runs away from the house. Contours, spot heights and the measuring tool use the same ground as the 3D model.

Distances and areas are measured straight from the house and plot model.

Checked against the rules that typically apply to a detached family house. Not a planning assessment.
